Hate to say this but your hard drive may well have expired. Others may have solutions to suggest. I hope so, but the old BSOD is one of the indicators of a dead drive.
Having said that. All may not be lost in terms of a machine to use. Join your local Freecycle group and post a wanted ad for a laptop or PC. It's all free. You will need access to a working machine to do this of course, but I imagine you have at least one friend!

My wife and I are buying a house build in 1921. It mostly has the original windows, but with storm windows added. The problem is, there are no screens. This is in a more urban area (most of the lots for blocks around are 1/8 of an acre or smaller), but the house is also across the street from our county's fairgrounds. So, I would worry about bugs / flies from the fairgrounds. What methods are out there to add screens? The cost of the down payment has eaten our savings, so we don't have much to work with right now.
We live in northern Ohio, so mosquitoes can be a problem sometimes as well.

If you are talking about using streaming video, then there isn't much they can do. The authorities are more likely to go after the person who posted the stream, then the person who are viewing it. I know of at least one website where someone had a streaming video of a football game and it was shutdown.

I got nokia n80,having so many problems after having the new housing,new battery,new screen,new pcb cable etc?
Please help me i don't know what is wrong with this mobile.
I cannot throw this mobile in the dust bin or whatever because i can hear the nokia startup sounds and i can take calls as usual and the phone works excellent except the screen is still white meaning phone is working except nothing coming on the screen and the screen is competly white. I don't know what is wrong this time.

I know my phone is not covered under warranty because my phone is 3 years old.

That thing on the outside is the condenser.
The refrigerant takes the heat that's on the inside and releases it to the outside. The thing inside, the evaporator, seems to get cold when the refrigerant vaporizes inside it. The refrigerant then travels outside in a vapor and is turned back into a liquid (condenses) outside.
That huge fan out there helps to dispel the heat that's held in the condensed refrigerent.
So if the tubes behind that screen can't breath, that is, if air isn't allowed to freely circulate around those condenser coils, your AC won't be able to move the heat from where you don't want it to be, to where it doesn't matter, as efficiently as it would were your coils clean.
It won't necessarily harm your AC but you'll have to run it longer to achieve your desired goal (a cooler home) and so your electric bill will be higher than it need be.
Use your garden hose to wash out the leaves and lint and dead bugs, etc.
The outside unit is made to be out in the elements (rain, snow, etc.) but there are electrical components inside it, so it won't hurt to go ahead and shut it off at the small breaker box which is probably located near to that unit.How do you clean off all the lint and crap off of the screen around my central air system outside of my house.

Removing my window screens on my house?
i have just about had it with these screens, i have tried for days now trying to get these screens out i have even YouTube it with no help. i have tried to left up as hard as i could but there is like a metal lip on the bottom where the screen does not seem to clear, i know there are springs on the top of the screen so i tried to get something, to get the springs down so it pops out but my window gets in the way and there is no way to get these screens out, my window open by lifting up any ideas ill do anything, or do you think i could just take the screen spine out and just put in new screen while the screens of still on the house?

N a lcd wide screen tv be mounted on a wall that houses a gas fireplace, without damage?
As long as you don't use the fireplace you will be fine. Heat is the primary enemy of any tvs.

How do i get bats out of my house so i can put up screens?
First thing you have to do is find out where they are coming and going from. Next thing seal all areas around the exterior of your house except where they are coming and going. next step, purchase ';bird netting from Lowes or Home Depot. In the daylight hours......... attach the bird netting over the areas of entrance using duct tape or staples. Allow the net to hang down about 24';. You don't want it to be stretched tight, it needs to be kind of loose but sealed at the top and both sides. NOT AT THE BOTTOM. This will allow the bats to get out but not back in. The bats will try to go back in but cannot find the opening at the bottom of the net. They will come out of the hole flutter down to the opening at the bottom of the net and fly away. When they return they try to enter back at the top but cant get in. Leave the net up for several days at least ten. After the 10th day go out at dust to make sure they are not still coming out. If they are gone, the next day........ during daylight hours remove the net and seal with silicone or expandable foam or caulk.How do i get bats out of my house so i can put up screens?

My aunt wants to rent out part of her house, but since she barely speaks English, she wants tenants that she can actually communicate with in case any sort of problems arise. I have helped her post on Craigslist and received a lot of replies, but she wants me to screen out and ignore emails from people whose names don't sound remotely Korean. I know that's racial discrimination, but she really couldn't help it? Her son is away in college so she really couldn't communicate with her tenants if they don't speak Korean. My cockatiels are outside in a screened house. How cool can they stand it?
At what temperature should I bring them inside? At what temperature will they get sick and die? I also have some Quakers. They live in the wild in New York City and in the Dallas, Texas area, so I know they can tolerate pretty cold weather. Hello. That is not a good idea (to keep them outside) for many, many reasons. Not the least of which is that Tiels are very social and very people oriented. They need to be inside with their families and need to be interacted with as much as possible and need out of cage time to spend with their people. To answer the temperature question, of course they can ';survive'; outside, otherwise there would be no more of them still living wild in their native Australia. They can stand a fairly wide range of temperatures but sudden changes of more than about 10 degees, they do not handle well at all. All the birds in this country have been captive bred since at least 1991 or 1992 as that's when the import of exotic birds was outlawed. They have been captive bred and for the most part, indoor birds for too long to put them out like that. All that aside, there are serious health issues to be considered, including some predators that can get into almost any enclosure, not the least of which would be snakes, that would attempt to swallow them whole. Any predator, even attempting to get to them could frighten them into a heart attack. There are also all the disease and parasites carried by wild birds and the threat of a bite from a mosquito carrying the West Nile Virus. We can survive that. They cannot. If you have, or are considering getting any Tiels, (or any other type of bird for that matter, and for the same reasons,) I'd strongly urge you to accommodate them inside with you, or to wait until that is feasible for you.

Landlord say screens and garage doors are a luxury and the house has none?
the garage doors need to be replaced, one door snapped and came down on my grandson hitting him across his kidneys. but the landlord just came and put small pad locks on the outside of the doors and handed me the keys. I have even asked for them to use my deposit to put screens in or towards new garage doors. but the only thing I recieved was a registored letter telling me my rent has went up 150.00 more.

Um.. well that sounds unpleasant. You will have to cover the garbage securely or tuck it away where the cat cannot get into it. I have always had my cats' front feet declawed (a vet can do this) and that usually stop most scratching behavior. It also seemed to make them better pets because they realize that they cannot just scratch you when they're not happy and take off. I 100% agree with Melimo. I have two ';ex'; feral cats that are the best kitties in the world and they learned right from wrong by me using a squirt bottle. I personally would never declaw my cats, but it's personal choice and I don't condemn others for doing it, most people are just unaware of the consequences.declawing may lead to secondary contracture of the tendons. This makes it uncomfortable for the cat to walk. Since the last joints of their front paws are missing, they compensate by placing more of their weight to the hind quarters, causing them to be out of balance. This shift of weight to the hind quarters may lead to atrophy of the muscles of their front quarters. Can also cause distress. Cat's paws also have scent glands that leave their own special scent on their territory, it's as natural as eating to them. Stock up on scratching posts and catnip %26amp; love your cat by not maiming them for life!

I do not believe in declawing cats, or any animal, for that matter. They have claws for a reason, if she ever were to get outside and had no claws, she would not be able to defend herself or get up a tree from a predator, etc. So be very careful when deciding whether or not declawing is right for you and your cat's situation.

unfortuantly i have had this problem in the past. You need to use the hd hook ups inorder to change it back. So hook it back to the HDTV so you can change it back.

IE8 - How do I get my Home button (house icon) to flush to the left instead of right side of the screen?
IE8 has scrammed my Home button all the way to the right side of the screen and I can't get it to move. It's awkward because it's the only icon over there.

Ok, here I go. I will try and use as simple terms as possible...
Go to home depot and buy a screen kit (You can buy each piece separately, but it is easier with the kit). Make sure you measure the window first. Buy the kit that has pieces close to your size window but make sure the pieces are LARGER not smaller. The screen kit has four metal pieces that you cut to the size of the screen. This kit comes with L shaped connectors. Use these connectors to connect them all together. You have now created a plastic square. Take the square and place it where the screen will go to make sure that it will fit. If you cut too much you are out of luck. If you cut too little then you just pull the pieces apart and cut a little more off and then reconnect and retest against window.
By now you should have a perfect frame. You will notice that there is a groove all around the edges. These is where the screen goes. You take your screen material (also in kit) and cut it leaving about 1-2 inches of extra material. You lay this on top of the frame. You will also notice a long strip of rubber in your kit (looks like a long rubber shoe string). You take your screen tool (Also in kit. If not then you can purchase one for not too much. It looks sorta like a pizza cutter). And use these screen tool to press the rubber strip into the groove around the frame. You want to make it really tight and ';professional';? Take the rubber strip and cut 12 small 1/2 inch pieces and stick one in each corner and in each center. Then press the rubber strip into the groove around the frame. When you get to one of the 12 small strips then just pull that one out etc. The small strips will prevent the screen material from moving.
When the rubber is all around the frame then you are done so cut it there. Then take a knife and cut all the excess screen and you are done.I want to know if anyone can help me on getting new screens for my old house windows?

I saw it yesterday. I liked it. It's about a playmate who is tricked into leaving the Playboy Mansion and she's homeless and she decides to become a housemother of a sorority with girls that aren't very self confident and she changes them. It's a good comedy. I don't know how well it went with the critics... there's not much swearing, but there's this one part where she comes out of the shower and you can see her rear. i saw it the other day, thinking it would be really stupid and pointless, after watching it i loved it. it's actually really funny, and has a good message. i'd say its worth watching, maybe not at the theatre but with a bunch of friends for a movie night it would be awesome!

There is no way of hiding ciggarette smoke especially if your parents don't smoke. Ciggarette smoke lingers and it seems to take over all of the open space. I used to live in an apartment complex and I could smell my neighbor smoking and I was on the other side of the building.
My advise is to quit trying to scam your parents and since you are living in their house abide by their rules. Get off your lazy butt and smoke outside!

Some of my friends use Febreze and say it works but I wouldn't risk it. Everytime I go over to their house, I can still smell the smoke.

khakis-either tan or navy
polo shirt-a shirt with a collar, short sleeves are okay
no tennis shoes or athletic shoes, wear a pair of dark brown or black shoes like deck shoes
If you have a sport coat that would look good with the khakis and shirt, wearing that would also be good. If you don't have a sport coat, a short leather or suede dark colored jacket would be good.
If you have piercings that show, take them out. The same with any tattoos, cover them up.

Then call him through the door.

It is your obligation to take care of him and see that he can't chase your brothers. Look into crate training - that helps with potty training. When he is older, take him for group obedeince classes - you go with him and learn how to train him and it helps socialize him with other dogs and new people.
What you don't know about dogs is pathetic, you are doing about everything wrong if you expect to have a well adjusted companion dog.
If you don't want to learn and take the time and effort to train your dog INSIDE the house with you, then rehome the pup. Fiind him a home with people who know what they are doing and want a dog to live with them, not outside like a chicken or cow.

I have been through training classes with her and learned that I was expecting way too much way to early a lot of the time.

Let me guess... you have a plasma screen TV, right? The reason for your TV getting hot is the technology that allows the TV to work. Basically, a plasma TV works by shooting electrical current through an ionized gas (plasma) to release a photon of a specific wavelength. Just get screens, solar ones to keep out the heat, screens naturally keep the bugs out by being a barrior to them; if they are well fitted. Go to any hardware store OSH, Lowes, Home Depot....etc. Use yellow outdoor light bulbs for repelling them at night. That insect repellant you buy at the same type of store where you would get the screens and then spray around the base of your building is very effective . That would be where bug-repellant screens would be available if there is such a thing. Hardware stores are full of informative and helpful people, I was just in 3 comparing prices to replace our screens and did not note any bug-repellant kinds. If it's top, then that can be your vertical circuit capacitors.... or SMPTE time codes showing up in the sync bar, that would require a vertical height adjustment.

How many others and how far is your TV from the aerial?
The signal may be losing a lot of strength between the aerial and your TV. You can correct this with a signal amplifier from most electrical retailers - Maplins do a good range.
It will also depend on the quality of the cable between the aerial and the TVs - if your cable is cheap, it's probably losing too much signal.

If it's top, then that can be your vertical circuit capacitors.... or SMPTE time codes showing up in the sync bar, that would require a vertical height adjustment.

The signal may be losing a lot of strength between the aerial and your TV. You can correct this with a signal amplifier from most electrical retailers - Maplins do a good range.

If you have an area around your house that could be converted into valuable outdoor living space , you should consider screening it in. With a little help, you can probably complete this project in one day, and most screened-in porch installations cost less than $600.
The instructions listed below are intended for use in an area under an existing room. You may need to make some modifications to these instructions depending on the structure you plan to build the screened-in porch beneath. Always consult a licensed building contractor if you have questions.

* For easier installation, you may want to build your porch so that the existing room supports are outside the porch walls.
1. Create a sill plate by laying out the bottom 2';X4'; boards. Use pressure-treated lumber when creating the sill plate.
2. Make sure the sill plate is square. There are a number of different ways to check for square.
- The easiest way to check for square is with a framing square, however , uneven bricks or mortar on the house may make this difficult.
- If you know that the existing room overhead is square, you can extend its measurements by using a plumb bob. Simply hang the plumb bob from the corners of the room and transfer the measurements to the floor of the porch.
- Another way of checking for square is by using the 3-4-5 rule. From the corner, measure and mark 4' along one side and 3' along the other. The distance between the two marks should be exactly 5'.
3. Fasten the sill plate to the concrete floor (figure B). Make sure the corners are fastened securely.
- One option for fastening the sill plate is to use lag bolts with concrete anchors. This option requires drilling into the concrete and inserting a lead or plastic anchor. Lag bolts can then be screwed into the anchors to secure the sill plate.
- Another way of fastening the sill plate is by using a power nailer. This device uses blank rifle cartridges to shoot nails into the concrete slab. Power nailers are very loud, so wear hearing protection and safety goggles if you decide to use one.
* Be sure there are no nails or lag bolts in any planned doorways. You'll be removing the sill plate from those areas.
4. Attach a layer of untreated wood on top of the sill plate (figure C). This will allow you to place decorative trim around the base of the interior wall, and it will provide added protection to the screen.
5. Install the top plate. Stand a stud on top of the sill plate against the wall , check it for plumb, and temporarily fasten it in place. Place a board for the top plate against the ceiling, using the upright stud to support one end. Use another stud to support the other end of the board, check for plumb, and then mark the location for the top plate. Repeat this process around the perimeter of the porch area, and nail the top plate to the ceiling (figure D).
6. Use a reciprocating saw or handsaw to remove base plates from any doorways (figure E).
7. Install the wall studs for the porch. The spacing of the studs will depend on the width of the screen you intend to use. Because most screens come in 3' widths , you will probably need to set your studs on 3' centers. Check the width of the screen before placing the wall studs, however. For door frames, place two studs on each side of the door. One stud will be used for attaching the screen, and the other will be used for the hinges.
Install the top rail, balusters and door frame
1. Use a level and chalk line to mark a level line on the wall studs approximately 32'; from the floor (figure F).
2. Cut 2';x4'; boards to length, and install them horizontally between the studs to create a top rail (figure G). You may want to start toenailing screws or nails into the ends of the boards before you position them between the studs.
3. Cut balusters from 2';x2'; boards at the lengths necessary to fit between the top rail and the sill plate. You may need to cut the pickets at different lengths to compensate for differences in slope.
4. Position the pickets so that they are spaced evenly and are flush with the outside wall. Fasten them in place with eightpenny finish nails (figure H).
* A pneumatic nailer can speed up your installation.
5. Frame the door area and install a doorstop around the top and sides (figure I). The rounded edge of the doorstop should face inside the porch.
6. Prime and paint the porch frame and screen door.
* When priming the screen door, use masking tape to keep primer from getting on the screen.
7. Apply the screen material. Cut the material to length and staple one side of the screen to the wall studs (figure J). Stretch the material taut and staple it to the other stud.
* Rip-resistant screen material is available in aluminum , fiberglass, nylon and vinyl.
8. Install lath to cover the seams of the screen. Cut the lath to length, then prime and paint the pieces. Install the top horizontal pieces first, followed by the bottom and picket rail pieces. Finish by installing the vertical pieces (figure K).
9. Hang the screen doors. Place a scrap piece of lath under the door so that you have a 1/4'; gap between the slab and the bottom of the door (figure L). Attach the door to the wall stud using hinges. Install a rubber sweep on the bottom of the door to prevent insects from entering the porch. Install any remaining hooks, latches , springs and hardware.
