No screens for storm windows on older house. What to do?

My wife and I are buying a house build in 1921. It mostly has the original windows, but with storm windows added. The problem is, there are no screens. This is in a more urban area (most of the lots for blocks around are 1/8 of an acre or smaller), but the house is also across the street from our county's fairgrounds. So, I would worry about bugs / flies from the fairgrounds. What methods are out there to add screens? The cost of the down payment has eaten our savings, so we don't have much to work with right now.

We live in northern Ohio, so mosquitoes can be a problem sometimes as well.

Many Home Improvement stores sell screen building kits. They consist of pieces of frame that can be cut to the desired size and have clips that hold the corners together. You then install the screen and spline. No screens for storm windows on older house. What to do?
There are places that will make screens to fit any window.

Look in the yellow pages to locate such a service or ask your neighbors. They might have a good contact that does honest work.

Since you are short on money maybe you could make them yourself? You can get the supplies at a hardware store.

Again talk to your neighbors you might find one willing to help out with this.
