Why do people have giant screen tv's when they live in a small flat/house?

some people have to have the biggest and best of everything,

Bigger is not always necessarily better

Or it could be that they are short sighted or hard of hearing lolWhy do people have giant screen tv's when they live in a small flat/house?
we got a large tv screen its 51 inch rear projection only needed it for hubby due to bad eye sight , but its also god for games machines ie 2o yearold sons with ps2who uses it when not working on his days offWhy do people have giant screen tv's when they live in a small flat/house?
What else would the chavs save up their dole money for?
They must have a problem with their eyesight.
To make the place look bigger?

Something about reflective surfaces...?
To compensate for the fact that they have a small willy!
cause they got more money than sense and want to show off, they don't know how to priortise their money, they probably prefer to spend out on superficial items they don't really need than put the money towards something worthwhile, many of the run down flats in an estate near me have sky dishes, crazy!!!!!.
I know why. Its so they can immerse themselves, and escape their humdrum lives. Thats why i do it.
the people can't afford the bigger house, but a bigger TV only costs a few hundred $$ more. A lot of people only sit around watching TV also, so it is worth more to them.
Because they really like watching television.
It's nice to have a big TV !
I guess so they can get the feeling of being ';IN'; the show or movie they're watching. Makes everything more realistic. LOL

Especially if guys are watching a football game, race....etc
Because of the money they save on the house.
because they like cinema
they have to have SOMETHING thats big!
bigger is better
luxury
For the same reason that poor people live in a shack and drive a Cadillac. At least we have something that is nice.
Oh what an excellent question!

Mansion envy?

A giant TV seems and odd thing to choose as a status symbol. I think, though I may be wrong, that these huge intrusions occur only in the (tiny) homes of people who have little lives. I know I will not make myself popular saying this but I believe that the higher you go up the class system, the fewer will be the incidence of monster screens.
The same reason why people who live in big houses have giant screen tvs.....youve got to see the bigger picture?!
