I have birds ripping out vent screens and creating holes in the soffett area of my house how do I stop them?

House is at the Oregon Coast and the birds appear to be a small very aggressive swallow tail type bird. the are ripping out vent screening (heavy screen type and also going through the gap between the trim piece and siding of the house to get into the attic. All the siding and trim is wood and I need to get rid of these little damagers! I believe we let a nest happen on the outside of the house (mud/stick type closed nest) and now grown birds are returning there home.I have birds ripping out vent screens and creating holes in the soffett area of my house how do I stop them?
I have the same problem, and the answers I found here that sound like the easiest and most sensible solutions are to put mothballs into the holes, or pet fur. They are repelled by both supposedly. I'm waiting for the babies to fly the nest and then I'm going to try it before I seal up the holes. (I've got long haired cats, so I'll give them a good brushing and use their fur to try this). Good luck!I have birds ripping out vent screens and creating holes in the soffett area of my house how do I stop them?
Put rubber snakes around the roof, they will scare away the birds.
