Go to Lowe's and look in the outdoor section, there is a foaming cleaner that pulls the dirt out of the fins of the air cond. do not power spray the unit, you can bend the fins which will cut off the air supplyHow do you clean off all the lint and crap off of the screen around my central air system outside of my house.
~~You should keep those screens as clean as you can. We clean ours every month, but if you see they are getting clogged, clean them again. It saves you a bunch of money on you electric bill when your a.c. isn't working so hard to get air. Plus your unit will last longer with fewer problems. Just spray with a strong force of water (hose nozzle type, and you can put a small amount of dishwashing liquid on the screens to loosen any air gunky.~~
Garden hose with a pressure nozzel on it. Hose it off and yes lint can cause it not to work properly since it needs air.
