How do you clean the screen of a laptop with house hold products?

mine has lots of smudges and fingerprits on it and water wont work...neither do cleaning cloths. i dont want to harm it or destroy it with chemicals... HELP!

don't use windex


you can buy expensive lcd screen cleaners


or you can make your own


get isopropyl rubbing alcohol at the pharmacy or drug store


the instructions are to dilute it 1 part to 2 parts water


better to dilute more 1 to 4


then use soft cloth ( not paper towel ) say a sock


rub very gently

do not use windex again
you can buy special wipes they make just for cleaning computers. i usually use a soft rag or the inside of a cotton sweater. nothing rough tho!!
NO WINDEX! NO AMMONIA!





Use a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol solution. That's all that's on the ';special wipes.';
