I need to mount a flat screen tv in an older house. will the mount leave behind huge holes int he wall?

my roommate, and the homeowner is afraid that the flat screen mount will leave behind ';giant holes';. is this the case? I can't find any info either way.I need to mount a flat screen tv in an older house. will the mount leave behind huge holes int he wall?
Yes the mounts are usually attached to the wall with 4 large lag boltsI need to mount a flat screen tv in an older house. will the mount leave behind huge holes int he wall?
It depends on what they mean by ';huge';.

After you remove the TV and the anchor screws, there will be four small holes in the wall and maybe a hole where the cables came through. That is easily patched up.

If you are in doubt just don't bother mounting the TV to the wall. Just use the TV's pedestal stand. That looks fine and it is much easier to wire.
